BUKU is a high-stakes 2D action-platformer that fuses precision movement with frantic, tactical typing combat. Play as a living book navigating a hostile, dynamically lit pixel-art world where your health is measured in "Letters." To cast devastating magic, you must enter a time-dilated casting state and type royal decrees—like FIREBALL, WIND, or SHIELD—sacrificing your own life force to fuel the spells. Face off against a highly adaptive ecosystem of enemies driven by a complex Utility AI that investigates you, coordinates attacks, and panics when their comrades fall.
